Founding goals and vision:

The founding goal of the association is to develop in the direction of public welfare. In addition to responding to the SAR government’s call to “Build a city of great events”, it also proposed the slogan of building Hong Kong into the “Sailing City of Asia”!

Our vision: To create more opportunities for all people to participate in sailing, to cultivate more talents, to arouse public attention and interest in sports, and to build a diverse and harmonious society!

Story:

Although the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Charity Sports Federation” has only been established in Hong Kong for more than a year, our starting point “Voyages International Sailing Club” has been established in Hong Kong for nearly six years and has many years of experience in organizing sailing training and competitions in Hong Kong. It has been providing free offshore sailing and yachting experience and training for many years. It now has 60+ ships of various types, and is constantly expanding its scale, with multiple new ships launched every month. As of March 9 this year, there have been 129 sailing training/yacht experiences; there are about 800+ boat trips; dozens of people participate in each session, and a total of more than 10,000 citizens participate for free. During the event, we have been supporting free public welfare activities initiated by some social organizations and individuals, such as: Fujian Chamber of Commerce/Hometowns Association, Youth Associations of various organizations, Huizhou Chamber of Commerce, Lions Clubs, San Po Kong Chamber of Commerce, Shandong Chamber of Commerce, Jinan Hometowns Association Association, Qingdao Association, Yongzhou Association, Greater Bay Area Association, City University Alumni Association, major companies, different schools and various institutions in the Mainland Greater Bay Area, etc., there are too many to mention.

We also rely on the support of a strong volunteer group, including retired volunteers from maritime and other departments, race coaches and referees from various yacht clubs, and a group of students or friends from all walks of life who joined through free experiences.

After several years of continuous learning and experience accumulation, we are more confident to set up various public welfare sports competitions on a larger scale to benefit the society and the people, in order to contribute to Hong Kong and achieve glory for Hong Kong.
